| Sunset in the Keys. On the left is the modern highway, the right is a remnant of Henry Flagler's railroad to Key West completed in 1912. Prior to it's completion, Key West was only reachable by boat. Known as "Flagler's Folly", the railroad opened up the Keys to development and eventually car traffic as most of the modern highway is built over the old rail line. | 2/23/09 5:50 PM | |
